Born on 25 November 1968, Jillian Shennessy was a active Canadian actress and singer celebrated for her significant contribution for American television. Her name has been a household name due to her portrayals as Claire Kincaid in Law & Order and Crossing Jordan. Hennessy was also able to showcase her talents in films like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also produced and wrote these movies. Hennessy started her acting career alongside her twin sister as twin call girls in Dead Ringers in 1988. Her Broadway debut was with Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story. Later, in RoboCop 3 in 1993 she was Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her breakthrough came later in the year after she was tapped as the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. The three-season run in the part was an instant hit with viewers. She left in 1996. Parker has appeared in films and shows such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side The West Wing Angels in America for which she received the Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for the best supporting actress. Parker was also awarded the Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her part in the role of Proof in the musical Proof on Broadway.
